Macarena is a conceptual painter whose work contemplates the vagueness of existence from the meditative state in which she communicates with the world around her. Her work develops abstract paintings where colours and representations melt away, creating a subtle liquid space where sensations emerge. It’s in this fluid state where she perceives no visual limits, nor artificial time exists.

—Our relation to the natural cycles and her observations about the tension found between society and the environment are her main lines of study.
